Oh gosh this one was tough ... but I am very, VERY happy with how it came out
So, what is it exactly?
Well, this was a piece of Last of Us fanart...
After Joel and Ellie finally make it to The University of Eastern Collorado _{(only to find the Firefly melitia they've been looking for is gone ELSEWHERE... slackers )} as they try to leave, a group of bandits attack them.
In a struggle, Joel is flung out of a second story balcony onto a stray piece of rebar pipe sticking out of the ground, impaling his abdomen
Ellie then has to help Joel walk out; at first he denies her help, but the more he topples over, blood pooling out leaving a thicker trailer behind him, him struggling just to breathe, Ellie doesn't take no for an answer.
I really tried to capture that desperation, panic, helplessness and... dare I say love, that was displayed in this scene after it was played out in such a way that I was CONVINCED Joel was gonna die
Ellie egging him on, even trying to joke; demanding a song from him when she gets him out of this.
