Do Not Give Up

This is an idea I've had for a LOOONG LOOOONG time... So, I finally sat me butt down and did it, while listening to this --> [link]

See, in Okamiden, poor Chibi goes through A LOT; it's rather intense given that he's just a pup... And, in my head, I couldn't help but think, at some point maybe he felt like giving up. Y'know he gets hurt A LOT, his best friend is taken by evil, his other friend BETRAYS him, and he's left all alone in this darkness...

But, though his mother is up on the Celestial Plain fixing all the problems and eradicating the evil... I'm bettin' she would've taken the time out of her task to encourage her son

Chibiterasu: [Half opens eyes and breathes quietly; a warm light shine on him. He grunts.] ... M-Mother...? Mother? I-I...
Amaterasu: ... Chibi...
Chibiterasu: Why? Why does this all hurt so much? Why has Kurow gone with Akuro? Why didn't Kuni let me help him when I could...?
Amaterasu: Chibi... you will only end up breaking your own heart wondering why... Why is not important. What is important is pressing onward.
Chibiterasu: But... they're... they're all gone... All of them... I... I can't do it... I can't save them.
Amaterasu: Yes, you can... Chibi, I know the task before you if fraught with danger, darkness, fear, and... even pain... But they need you. All of them. It is not too late... I know in your heart... you think I am not there. That I have forsaken you... But hear me when I say I am always there for you, Chibi-chan... I will never forsake you... Do not give up.

I did my best to make Ammy's Solar Flare look like the one in the game... ehhh....
The way they're drawn is kinda a mix between my style and Wolf's Rain (with all it's antitomically correct goodness )
And yes, Ammy is in her Shiranui form because *SPOILER* _{at the end of Okami, Amaterasu had all her powers back and reverted to her Shiranui form} *SPOILER END*

Also, for some reason, I always imagined Amaterasu speaking without using contractions _{(i.e. Don't, Won't, Couldn't, You're, They're, etc)} just 'cause... I dunno Where as Chibi, since he's younger or "newer" would use contractions.
